Amendment to SFY 2023 Transportation Planning Work Program (TPWP)
The Transportation Policy Board for Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission (UERPC) / Regional Planning Affiliation 1 (RPA-1) will hold a public hearing at its upcoming meeting to receive comments on a proposed amendment to the RPA-1 Transportation Planning Work Program (TPWP) for state fiscal year (SFY) 2023. RPA-1 includes the Counties of Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek in northeast Iowa. The RPA-1 TPWP document identifies the transportation planning and administrative tasks on which federal funding will be used over the course of the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2022.
The amendment would add $20,000 in regional Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) funds and $5,000 local matching funds to the approved SFY 2023 TPWP. The funds were awarded to the City of Lansing by the Transportation Policy Board to complete a Highway 9/Main Street Vision Plan. The City of Lansing desires to work with UERPC on the project. Under Iowa Department of Transportation guidance, the awarded STBG funds for planning are to be added to the RPA-1 SFY 2023 TPWP as a special project, with the $5,000 in matching funds coming from the City of Lansing.
The public hearing will take place during the RPA-1 Transportation Policy Board meeting to be held on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at UERPC’s office at 325 Washington Street in Decorah.
