Regional Planning Affiliation 1 (RPA-1)/Upper Explorerland Transportation Policy Board is seeking applications for federal-aid Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) funding and Transportation Alternatives (TA) Set-aside funding.
Approximately $2.5 million is available in STBG funding, and $295,000 in TA Set-aside funding for use in the five-county region of RPA-1. Applicants may apply for STBG funding in federal fiscal year (FFY) 2030, while applicants for TA Set-aside funding may apply for any year from FFY 2027 to FFY 2030. All projects that are eligible for TA Set-aside funding are also eligible for STBG funding, and applicants may apply to both programs for the same project.
Applications will be accepted beginning January 31, 2026, and are due by March 1, 2026.
